Braderie de Lille 2027 Budget: How Much Should You Plan For?

Mis à jour le 8 October 2026 · dates annoncées par la Ville de Lille
Budget pour la Braderie de Lille 2026 - combien prévoir

For the Braderie de Lille 2027 (4 and 5 September), budget €80 to €150 for a day trip from Paris, or €200 to €500 for a full weekend including accommodation. The cost varies with your mode of transport, where you stay and your appetite for moules-frites and bargain hunting.

Day trip budget from Paris

If you are coming from Paris for the day, here is a realistic budget:

  • Paris-Lille return train ticket: €30 to €80 depending on when you book (TGV, 1 hour journey)
  • Moules-frites + drink: €25 to €35
  • Metro/local transport: €5 to €10
  • Bargain-hunting budget: up to you (plan on €50 to €200 in cash)
  • Minimum total: around €60 to €125 without shopping

Full weekend budget

For a full weekend in Lille or the wider Lille metropolitan area:

  • Return transport: €30 to €80 (train) or €15 to €30 (car-sharing)
  • 1 night’s accommodation: €60 to €200 depending on category and location
  • Meals (moules-frites × 2 + breakfast): €60 to €90
  • Bargain-hunting budget: €100 to €300 depending on your finds
  • Drinks, snacks: €20 to €40
  • Weekend total: €230 to €710 depending on comfort level

How to save money at the Braderie

On transport

Book your train tickets 3 to 4 months in advance: Ouigo trains or the earliest TGVs are available from €15-25 one way. On Braderie weekend every train is packed — latecomers pay 3 to 4 times as much.

On accommodation

Staying in Roubaix or Tourcoing rather than Lille can save you 30 to 50% on the price of a room, with only a 15-minute metro ride to the centre. Hotels in the surrounding area often still have rooms when Lille is full.

On food

The Wazemmes market offers sandwiches and snacks at reasonable prices. Many street vendors sell waffles, crêpes and churros for €2 to €5. Booking your moules-frites table in advance gives you a choice of restaurant — some are cheaper than others for the same quality.

On bargain hunting

Arrive early on Saturday morning for the best pieces, but wait until Sunday after 3 pm for the best deals: tired sellers slash their prices and don’t want to leave with a heavy load.

What you can find on a small budget

The Braderie de Lille is renowned for its bargains. Commonly found items include:

  • Books: €0.50 to €5
  • Vinyl records: €1 to €20
  • Vintage clothing: €3 to €30
  • Crockery and decorative objects: €1 to €15
  • Furniture: €10 to €200

Students: kit out your place on a budget

The Braderie falls at the start of the academic year, which makes it the best time to equip a student flat. Crockery, small appliances, lamps, books and bikes can be found cheaply from private sellers, especially on Sunday afternoon when sellers want to clear everything. Come with a backpack, small change and a precise list so you don’t get sidetracked.

  • Transport: the Ilévia 1-day or 2-day pass is better value than single tickets (1-day Pass at €5.70 in 2026).
  • Eating: street food and chips rather than a restaurant on Saturday lunchtime.
  • Going out: free open-air concerts on Saturday evening; see the Braderie at night.
