Braderie de Lille 2027 Parking: Where to Park?

Vérifié le 8 October 2026 · dates annoncées par la Ville de Lille

The answer

Don’t try to park in the centre: parking is banned inside the perimeter and the public car parks there are closed. Park at an Ilévia park-and-ride (P+R) on the outskirts, then finish your journey by metro, tram or bus. In 2026, six P+R car parks were free with a transport ticket validated the same day: Porte des Postes, Saint-Philibert, Porte d’Arras, CHU-Eurasanté, 4 Cantons and Les Prés.

The Braderie de Lille attracted over 2.5 million visitors in 2026. Finding a space in the city centre is then a real challenge: the Métropole and Ilévia set up a system of park-and-ride car parks to make it easier to reach the heart of the event.

Where to park for the Braderie de Lille? The park-and-ride car parks (P+R)

During the Braderie de Lille, Ilévia’s park-and-ride car parks (P+R) on the edge of the metropolitan area are the best solution. In 2026, six P+R car parks were free with a transport ticket validated the same day: Porte des Postes, Saint-Philibert, Porte d’Arras, CHU-Eurasanté, 4 Cantons and Les Prés. They let you park on the outskirts and then reach the Braderie by bus, tram, metro or train. They can be used with a valid Ilévia transport ticket.

The list and detailed opening hours of the park-and-ride car parks are published by Ilévia a few days before the event. We will add it here as soon as it is released for 2027.

Which park-and-ride should you choose depending on where you are coming from?

  • From Paris or Arras (A1): Porte d’Arras or CHU-Eurasanté, south of Lille.
  • From Dunkirk or Calais (A25): Saint-Philibert, to the west, or Porte des Postes.
  • From Belgium or Valenciennes (A27, A23): 4 Cantons, in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, to the east.

These tips are based on the list of free P+R car parks in 2026: check the 2027 list on the Ilévia website before you set off.

Can I park in the centre of Lille during the Braderie?

Inside the Braderie perimeter, public car parks and hotel car parks are closed, and traffic is banned without a pass. In 2026, the Euralille, Lille-Flandres station and Grand Palais car parks, on the edge of the perimeter, stayed open but filled up quickly. Vehicles parked in private car parks inside the perimeter can neither enter nor leave from 7 pm on Friday to 6 am on Monday. Driving all the way to the centre is therefore best avoided.

Can I park on the streets inside the perimeter?

On-street parking is banned throughout the Braderie perimeter from 1 am on Friday to 5 am on Monday: the streets are closed so that stalls can be set up, and vehicles not moved in time are fined and towed. Beyond the perimeter, residential parking remains possible, but spaces are scarce from Friday evening.

How do I get to the Braderie by metro?

The Lille metro runs an enhanced service during the Braderie, and lines 1 and 2 run all night from Saturday to Sunday. The nearest stations are Rihour (line 1, the heart of the Braderie), République-Beaux-Arts (line 1, southern area), Gare Lille Flandres (lines 1 and 2, for those arriving by TGV) and Gare Lille Europe (line 2, for the Eurostar).

As for tickets, in 2026 the Ilévia 1-day Pass cost €5.70 and the metro ran all night from Saturday to Sunday. Buy your tickets in advance (Ilévia app or ticket machines) to avoid queues at the stations: weekend fares and passes are on the Ilévia website.

Alternatives: bike, carpooling, train

The V’Lille bike-sharing service runs during the Braderie, but cycling through the crowds is impossible inside the perimeter: leave your bike at the edge. Carpooling is widely used to come from Paris, Brussels, Amiens or Valenciennes. From Paris, the TGV (1 hour, arriving at Gare Lille Flandres right in the centre) remains the most practical option: see getting to Lille for the Braderie.
