Safety tips for the Braderie
The Braderie de Lille welcomes over 2.5 million visitors in a single weekend (2026 figures). To enjoy the event with peace of mind, here are a few recommendations:
- Stay alert in the crowd: keep your belongings in front of you and avoid carrying valuables.
- Drink water regularly: water points and fountains are available in the city centre.
- Note where the first-aid posts are: they are spread throughout the Braderie area and marked by signs.
- Agree on a meeting point with your group in case you get separated in the crowd (the mobile network can get saturated).
