Flea Markets Around Lille During the Braderie de Lille 2027

Mis à jour le 4 May 2026 · dates annoncées par la Ville de Lille
Brocante satellite dans une ville près de Lille pendant le weekend de la Braderie 2026

On the first weekend of September, it is not only Lille that celebrates: the whole Lille metropolitan area and neighbouring towns organise their own satellite braderies. These parallel events are often less well known and less crowded, but can be just as rich in discoveries for the savvy bargain hunter at the 2027 edition (4-5 September).

Why visit the satellite braderies?

Smaller crowds: this is the main advantage. When the Braderie de Lille receives 2.5 million visitors, the braderies in Roubaix or Tourcoing remain human-scale events where haggling is more relaxed.

Less “savvy” sellers: in less touristy towns, private sellers often know less about what their items are worth. Unexpected bargains are more common there.

Different items: every town has its own industrial and social history. Textile towns such as Roubaix or Tourcoing may offer pieces linked to local industry that you will not find in Lille.

Roubaix: the textile town and La Piscine

Just 15 minutes from Lille by metro (line 2, towards Roubaix), Roubaix is a fascinating town with a rich industrial history. On the first weekend of September, several car-boot sales (vide-greniers) and braderies are held in Roubaix’s neighbourhoods.

Do not miss La Piscine, the museum of art and industry housed in a former Art Deco swimming pool, one of the finest museums in France. It often opens with adapted hours during the Braderie weekend.

The Wazemmes-Roubaix flea markets (in the district on the border between the two towns) mix cultures and often offer unusual items linked to the region’s textile history.

Tourcoing: on the Belgian border

Just 15 minutes from Lille by metro (line 2, towards Tourcoing), the neighbouring town traditionally holds vide-greniers in its neighbourhoods over the Braderie weekend. The atmosphere is down-to-earth and authentic.

Its proximity to the Belgian border gives Tourcoing a bicultural character that shows in the items on offer: Flemish furniture, Belgian earthenware, objects linked to the shared history of the two regions.

Lens and Arras: art towns within reach by train

Lens (40 minutes by train from Lille-Flandres) is known for the Louvre-Lens, but the town also organises its own seasonal vide-greniers. Check with the Lens town hall for the exact dates of the 2027 edition.

Arras (50 minutes by train) is a town of art and history with its magnificent Flemish squares. Flea markets are held regularly around the Grand-Place in Arras. Check the 2027 dates with the Arras tourist office.

How to find the satellite braderies in 2027

The calendar of satellite flea markets is not centralised. Here is how to find them:

  • Brocabrac.fr: the best French website for finding vide-greniers by département and date. Filter on département 59 (Nord) and 62 (Pas-de-Calais) for the first weekend of September.
  • Vide-greniers.org: a similar database with an interactive map.
  • Town hall websites: Roubaix, Tourcoing, Lens, Arras and Valenciennes publish their cultural calendars with the dates of their braderies.
  • Local Facebook: the Facebook groups “Vide-grenier Nord” or “Braderie Roubaix” announce events in real time.

Practical organisation

To visit the Braderie de Lille AND a satellite braderie in the same weekend, plan your route in advance. The Ilévia metro links Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing in 15-20 minutes, with frequent services at the weekend. The Ilévia day or weekend pass is good value if you make several journeys.

The Braderie de Lille 2027 (4-5 September) is the heart of the festivities, but the whole region is your playground for bargain hunting!
