Entertainment and concerts at the Braderie de Lille 2027

The Braderie de Lille is not just an immense flea market: it is also a festival of entertainment, concerts and street shows. On 4 and 5 September 2027, the whole city vibrates to the rhythm of artistic performances. Here is the programme of festivities.

Concerts and live music

The main stage — Grand’Place

Lille’s Grand’Place hosts a music stage every year with free concerts. The line-up mixes French pop, rock, world music and local artists. Concerts generally start in the early afternoon on Saturday and continue into the evening.

DJ sets and electronic music

Several squares and bars hold open-air DJ sets, notably on rue Solférino, place du Concert and in the Wazemmes district. The atmosphere builds on Saturday evening and carries on all night for the party-goers.

Street music

Dozens of street musicians set up spontaneously at crossroads and in busy streets. Accordionists, guitarists, brass bands and jazz groups liven up your stroll. Don’t hesitate to leave a few coins in their hats!

Shows and performances

Street arts

Street theatre, contemporary circus and dance companies perform at different points of the Braderie. Jugglers, acrobats, fire-eaters and stilt-walkers wander the streets and put on impromptu shows.

Puppets and magic

For children, puppet and magic shows are scheduled in the various districts, often in the middle of the afternoon. The theatres of Vieux-Lille sometimes put on special performances over the weekend.

Sporting events

What about the half marathon?

The Lille half marathon is no longer run during the Braderie: it has moved to another time of year. The 2026 Lille marathon and half marathon is scheduled for Sunday 25 October. See our half marathon page.

Themed entertainment by district

Vieux-Lille favours jazz, blues and French chanson concerts in a cosy atmosphere. The Wazemmes district vibrates to world rhythms, with African, North African and Latin music. Rue Solférino is the haunt of rock and electro. Place de la République hosts family entertainment and children’s workshops.
